Leanne Taylor

Bio

Leanne has over 25 years of experience across different segments of the finance industry. Most recently she was Head of Portfolio Strategy and Asset Allocation at VFMC, bringing her deep expertise in translating complex macroeconomic and market information into total portfolio decisions. Leanne also led the active asset allocation capabilities delivering high-impact outcomes. Her team’s work played a pivotal role in shaping long-term strategic allocation, developing capital market assumptions across diverse asset classes, and leading organisation-wide investment forums.

Prior to VFMC, Leanne was Head of Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction at Cbus Super, responsible for the Funds investment strategy and portfolio construction, as well as the macroeconomic and scenario framework informing total portfolio outcomes. She has also held senior roles with Allard Partners Limited, IAG, Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America), and Westpac, and began her career at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Leanne is passionate about integrating macroeconomic and market insight into resilient portfolio strategy, fostering collaborative thinking, and mentoring the next generation of investment leaders.

Leanne holds a Master of Economics from the Australian National University (undertaken with a Reserve Bank of Australia scholarship), a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from the University of Tasmania, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments. She is also an executive committee member of the Australian Business Economists.
