Dr Michael Plumb

Dr Michael Plumb is the Head of Economic Analysis at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).

Prior to this Dr Plumb held several senior roles at the RBA, including Head of Banking Department, Chief Representative for the RBA in New York, Deputy Head of Economic Analysis and Deputy Head of Economic Research.

He has a doctorate in Economics from the University of Oxford, as well as a Master of Economics & Econometrics (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Sydney.

As Head of Economic Analysis, Dr Plumb leads Economic Analysis department in monitoring and forecasting trends in both the domestic and international economies and advising the Governors and Monetary Policy Board on economic developments and monetary policy.
